Siswa yang akrab dipanggil dengan sapaan Ikhsan tersebut memantapkan namanya sebagai juara II di ajang Kompetisi Taekwondo Nasional di Jakarta.

Ajang bergengsi nasional ini selain membawa namanya di ranah nasional, juga membawa nama Muhi juga. Hasilnya, banyak siswa Muhi yang tidak bisa dianggap enteng prestasinya di Indonesia.
