Bikin Takjub Penonton, Teater Gandrung Suguhkan “Retno Manggali” Pada Pra Milad MUHI

Potensi siswa berbeda-beda, ada yang menonjok dalam akademik, olahraga maupun seni peran. SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar memberikan wadah kepada peserta didiknya untuk mengembangkan seni peran dalam Teater Gandrung. Untuk kesekian kalinya pasca pandemi,  Teater Gandrung hadir dengan wajah barunya. Menggandeng pemain baru (siswa baru) yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam seni peran dan tarian, akhirnya mengadakan show perdana pasca pandemi.  Momen kali ini juga berkaitan dengan serangkaian acara pra milad SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar.

Acara tersebut dilaksanakan pada Jumat malam (9/11/2022) di Halaman SMA MUHI. Pada kesempatan ini, seluruh elemen guru, karyawan, siswa dan alumni menghadiri penampilan tersebut. Sutradara pementasan tersebut adalah Wahyu Ratnasari yang notabene siswa kelas XII Muhi.

Teater gandung mengambil cerita dengan judul Ratna Manggali. Ratna Manggali adalah seorang gadis yang memiliki paras cantik dan baik hati. Ia adalah putri tunggal Calon Arang dari Desa Girah. Namun, sampai usianya beranjak dewasa tidak ada satu pun pemuda yang mau melamarnya.

Alasannya, para pemuda tidak berani melamar karena takut dengan si Calon Arang yang dikenal memiliki kemampuan sihir jahat. Sampai suatu hari Calon Arang marah dan membuat bencana bagi seluruh warga Desa Girah. Dari sinilah awal sebuah kisah Calon Arang dari sudut pandang Ratna Manggali. Nilai moral yang dapat diambil dari cerita ini adalah agar kita selalu waspada dan berbuat baik kepada orang lain, supaya kita dapat hidup damai dan sejahtera.

Dalam show tersebut, penonton dibuat terpukau dengan beberapa tampilan yang ada. Muhi band selaku musik pengiring juga tampil apik dan membius penonton. Pencahayaan yang luar biasa dipadukan latar yang sesuai dengan alur cerita menambahkan kesan yang luar biasa.
